Job description

In the role of Senior Automation Electrician, you will be performing work on the larger and more
complex systems that require more interfacing with other (shore based) disciplines. In this role, you will:
*Align with the Control, Automation and Monitoring Unit and apply the applicable development procedures and software tools available to develop and maintain automation systems in order to:
* Keep compliance with regulatory bodies such as Lloyd’s
* Maintain traceability, version control and relevant documentation
* Maximise regression testing and make use of all available (virtual) test facilities.
* Coach Automation Electricians and be responsible for organising their work on complex systems.

Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Electronics and Automation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
* Basic scripting experience in Python, PowerShell, Visual Basic, or similar languages
* Fluent in English (spoken and written)
* Experience with industrial programming languages (experience with Siemens Automation Systems is a strong advantage)
* Basic understanding of network topology and communication protocols
* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
* Relevant working experience in the automation field
* Minimum 2 years of experience working on board DP offshore construction vessels
* Valid Electro Technical Rating license – STCW III/6
